Question: Lifting and running question!?
I do a lifting a running program with my football team every morning from 7:15-8:30 on mon-thurs!. I'm wondering what should I eat before I go to lift and run, and when should I eat it!?Www@Answer-Health@Com


Answers:
An hour before, have 20-30g of protein and 50-60g of complex carbohydrates!. This will supply energy for the workout and protein for the rebuilding process!.

For example, have a protein shake and 3 slices of whole wheat bread!. Or have a 6 egg white omelette and a big bowl of oatmeal!.

After the workout, you want 40g of protein (give or take) and simple carbs, 3 slices of white bread, or rice cakes, or rice, or potato!. This will spike insulin and force the nutrients into your damaged muscles!.
