has anybody had any luck with the 2 Slim Fasts a day diet!?

if so how long did u do it for and how much did u loose!? what other stuff did u do to help u loose weight!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

I have tried the Slim Fast diet plan, but not had much luck, because realistically you aren't going to do it forever!. This is the only thing that I have ever done that worked for me for the long term that was easy to do!. Here is the plan I have used!.

I recently started to eat only healthy foods and lost 20 pounds in 3 months very easily!. I actually learned about this healthy eating result from my younger sister!. I had seen her 3 months before a while ago and she just looked like her regular self!. Then I saw her 3 months later and she had lost 25 pounds and had her high school figure back!. I was sooo shocked I couldn't say anything or mention it for quite a while, then I asked her if she had been running or something, that she looked great and she said she hadn't had time to exercise, and which made me feel better as I knew I wouldn't do that either and stick with it!. Then she said her and her daughter just went on a heart healthy diet!. Their motto was, "If it's not healthy, don't eat it!." I started the day I got home with changing just a few things in my diet and slowly the pounds started falling off, I was completely amazed!. I didn't tell anyone I was doing it, but my family!. I knew my weight in the beginning and didn't weigh myself again until my pants felt way looser, so it wasn't discouraging in the beginning!. I recorded everything I ate each day on a Word document and I am still doing it, to keep a record of it!. People eventually started to notice that I was losing weight, my pants were getting baggier!. I didn't want to tell any of them, as that creates added expectations!.

This is pretty much what my healthy eating plan is each day:

Breakfast:
1 cup of Kashi cereal either Go Lean Crunch or Autumn Wheat
1/2 cup of 1% milk
(in the beginning I measured it out, then later I just poured a bowl full with 1% milk)
This cereal is the main ingredient I believe in the healthy eating start as it is very filling and you and easily last until lunch!.

Lunch:
1 light yogurt
and 1 apple
I also drink either lots of water throughout the day
instead of pop at restaurants I always get ice tea as it has no calories

Dinner:
I always have a large glass of 1% milk
meat, barbecued or broiled if fried only occasionally in olive oil
salad with anything on it veggies, fruit, nuts, meats, and dressings
steamed or fresh vegetables you can have as much as you like
you can also have as much fruit as you like
if you have anything fried like a corn taco shell fry it in olive oil
other than that the rule is no fried foods
cottage cheese is good also
if you have baked potatoes use spray butter on it and also on your vegetables
if you have bread or rice, make it whole grains
Don't forget soup is a great dinner or lunch food!.

Snack if you need them are things like almonds, pretzels, and popcorn!.
If you keep it around 1200-1400 calories you will lose about 1 to 2 pounds a week!. If really is a game of calories!. So, don't waste your calories on junk!.

IF YOU WANT RESULTS, NO CHEATING AND IT WILL HAPPEN!.

I guess it convinced me as I could see her results and I knew it worked!.

I also know I would never stick with anything that was too hard to do or keep track of, so that is why this works for me!.

* I went down from a size 11/12 to a size 7/8 I was completely amazed!. I truly shows how much junk and unhealthy fatty foods we eat in our diets each day!. I have also started to really look at all of unhealthy people that are overweight and try to notice what they eat at the malls and in restaurants, then I go get a salad or something healthy, and they do sell these things to when you are out with friends or shopping etc!.

Here is an easy calorie formula that makes sense that I read in Prevention Magazine!. Take the weight you want to be and multiply it by 10 if you are somewhat inactive, and that is how many calories you should eat each day to get to your desired weight!. If you are more active multiply your desired weight by 13 and you will have the calories you want to consume daily!. Multiplying by the 10 seems the easier to me as a lot of what you eat is a "guess-timation" anyway!. You definitely don't want anything hard to remember, or it is too easy to quit!.

My sister said the first 4 weeks were the hardest for her, but for me it has been after I have lost 20 lbs!. So I start thinking, oh now I can have this!. I have had some of the things that got me 20 lbs overweight, but mostly, I tell myself, that that was why I got overweight in the first place, so just to have those as sometimes foods, then I can keep the 20 lbs!. off!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

It's not effective!. Some people have lost weight with it, but barring signifcant lifestyle changes, the weight eventually comes back!.

A better move is to recognize that weight loss has both a physical AND a psychological side to it!. Physically, an increase in the amount of physical activity you undertake will help increase your metabolism and burn calories!.!.!.psychologically actually eating something (such as a small bowl of soup) can give you the feel of having a real meal, but with reduced caloric intake!.

Also, have a salad made with romaine at least once a day!. It's filling, has more nutrients than does iceberg and is very low calorie!.

You see, weight loss is basically a math problem: Take in less calories than you expend, and you will lose weight!. Weight loss isn't a "diet" thing!.!.!.it's about eating right, and about portion control!. Sometimes you can eat more, or eat something that isn't weight-loss oriented, but after, just go back to what you'd been doing and don't obsess on "falling off the wagon!." An occasional one-meal break from the routine is good for you mentally!. Just make sure you exercise regularly (and not with those weird devices they advertise on late-night cable channels!.!.!.get some good shoes and walk! That's the best way to start, then after you're feeling up to it, get some light weights and use those to start firming up!.!.!.but ALWAYS start lightly and work into it!. You'll achieve success that way, and won't burn out on exercise), eat smaller portions of the right things (that's all the pre-packaged stuff is, anyway: small portions of the right things!. Do it yourself and save money), and you'll lose that weight!.

After i couldn't loose on my own I went to weight watchers and got off the white flour and white sugar and fats, just worked out a little everyday even if it was just stretching and weight watchers was Great for my metabolism!.

Slim fast is really bad for your metabolism and will make it easier for you to gain weight later on in life, too much preservatives too, i just wouldn't!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

It has waaay to much sugar!. My mom has done it for like 3 years no results!. Now she just drinks it because she likes the capechino (sp!?) flavor!. Also slimfast isn't healthy and wouldn't be good for two meal replacements!. Try joining an aerobics class or training for a 5K!. my mom tried it, but didn't work for her at all!. although i think it was because she wasn't really trying and having a good diet along with the product!.

it probably does work, but you pretty much have to starve yourself!. just excersice and have a good diet!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

It's garbage!. You feel hungry and it's not good for you and as soon as you start eating again you'll gain the weight back!. You are better off doing cereal with non fat milk and fruit cuz it's more satisfying!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
