I am on a diet and doing really well, but i hate having to not eat icecream (my biggest weakness)!.

Answers:
Just to cut out milk, you can buy soy icecream (purely decadent)!. Also frozen yogurt!. But these alternatives still contain fat and lots of sugar to carry the taste!.

A better alternative might be sorbets, which don't have milk or milk substitutes!. Still there is a lot of sugar in there!. And you don't get the creamyness, which you probably crave!.

If you don't have the chance to make your own ice cream, just do a smoothie with ice cubes and soft banana and all kinds of fruits (even carrots) in a blender!. Banana is a great ingredient for sweetness and softness!. This way you have something cold, sweet, but you have a handle on how it is sweetened and on the fat!.

If you have an icecream maker, just pour the smoothie in it and try to get it frozen evenly!.

Another idea, raw food enthousiasts make frozen desserts that are quite creamy, they also add nuts or even avocado!.
Might contain fat, but it is good one!.

If you don't mind making something for yourself blend ice and your favourite fruits together in a blender!. If you want it to be creamy, you can add rice/coconut/soy milk, whatever you like!. Blend it until it's smooth and freeze it all together, then eat it like icecream!. It sometimes freezes harder than ice cream, so you might want to make it into ice block trays or something so you can eat it!.

Another thing I love, I make up cordial (I buy a low sugar one, because I'm diabetic) make up cordial, but a bit stronger than you usually prefer!. Pour it into ice cube trays and freeze!. (You can also use made up jelly in the same way)!. Neither of these are soft and creamy like icecream, more like sorbet, but really yummy!!

Good luck with your diet!Www@Answer-Health@Com

1!. the reason you crave in the first place, is because something is missing in your diet!. so do eat carbs, protein in moderation along with and vegetables!.
