I weight 160 pounds and my goal weight is 140. What do I need to do to get start!


Question: I weight 160 pounds and my goal weight is 140!. What do I need to do to get started!?
I would like to lose the weight by the September 1, 2008!.

Start eating right!. Do not drink soda period, not even diet!. Eat carbs during the day and tons of them, do not have any kind of carbs right before bed!. Eat fruit and vegetables: maybe just a salad for a meal with no dressing and an apple and banana!. Drink at least one glass of milk and have protein before and/or after you work out!. Eat 5 small meals a day to keep your metabolism going!. Its not just about exercise you HAVE to eat right!. And do not tell your self "oh I earned this cookie" just stay away from sweets and bad fats, have self control!. I stopped drinking soda and eating so much candy and lost 4 pounds immediatly!. Exercise is important also but I think people take exercise more seriously then eating right and it should be the opposite!. Think about what people used to eat in the old days!. They didn't have all this crap, they ate bread, fruit, vegetables, calcium and meat!. I also look at it as if God made it its good for you!. Make sure your goal is reasonable!. For example, is 140 a more ideal weight, if so why!? You are not giving me much information, for example, if you are over 30 this will be more difficult than if you are younger than 30!. Do you lead a sedentary or active life, are you male or female!? Here is the thing, 1 to 2 pounds a week is difficult, but can be done, you have to eat less than you expend!. So you want to lose 20 lbs in 75 days!. It's not impossible, but it won't be easy to do in a healthy way!. Essentially you need to figure out how to burn 933 more calories than you eat every day!.

Most people eat about 4000 calories a day!. So if you can cut that down to about 2000 you'll definitely be dieting!. You can try to go as low as 1500, but you'll be really starving yourself!.

You are probably burning about 1500 calories a day just existing before you do any exercise!. If you do a medium intensity aerobics class every day, you'll increase that to about 2000!. Now, how to burn the other 933!?
- Walk 12 miles
- Run 8!.5 miles
- Swim 1 mile
- Bicycle 25 miles
- Lift weights 4!.5 hours!.

It's probably better you combine and mix these up!. So figure if you walk to they gym 2 miles, do an hour of aerobics, lift weights for another hour, swim 2500 yards, then walk home!. The next day you can ride your bike to the gym, do 2 hours of aerobics, then ride home!. Another day, just run/walk about 10 miles!.

The bottom line is, it won't be easy and you'll be best off if you get a doctor to help you along with it!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I suggest going vegan!. Meat, eggs, and dairy are loaded with saturated fat!. Even lean meat, poultry, and non fat milk are filled with growth hormones they feed animals that will make you want to eat more (not to mention pesticides and antibiotics that are horrible for you) Also, make sure that you get a lot of cardiovascular exercise!. When going vegan, make sure you eat a lot of fruits and vegetables (raw is best) and don't just load up on carbs!. When you're eating, make that the only thing you do (don't watch TV or anything) that way you can focus on when you feel full, and you won't just eat mindlessly!. and you'll appreciate food a lot more!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Do 30 minutes cardio daily!. As well eat several small meals a day!. Eat a breakfast high in protein, such as eggs as it will jumpstart your metabolism!. Drink green tea instead of coffee!. Remember, dieting may take away pounds, but those pounds are so easy to put back on!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
