Is there something wrong with my workout routine?!

Question:

Is there something wrong with my workout routine?

This is my workout routine. I've been doing this for 5 weeks now and it's the first time I've made it past 5 days, so I'm really kinda amateur at this.

I lift everyday, which maybe a bit much, however, I feel sore for a while and then the next morning, I'm not sore at all. I'm not sure whether my body is actually ready to lift again or if I'm rushing things. I know overlifting is bad but if I'm not sore in the morning it it ok to lift again?

I'm 6' 2", 210 lbs and I'm trying to get bigger and reduce my gut.

I'm currently doing 70 lbs with a barbell bicep curl, lifting until failure. I found out today that I still need to tighten my form so tomorrow I'll work on that.

Then I do pushups until failure.

Then I do lat pulldowns until failure, 90lbs nowadays.

And then I do crunches.

I usually increase weight by 5 lbs when i get to sets of 8, 8, 6-8.

I also play basketball 2-3 times a week for 2 hrs at the local gym, playing pickup games.

Your opinions, please?

Answers:

Try alternating upper and lower body days. Giving each muscle group a day to rest helps it to more effectively repair and rebuild.

Form is everything. Your movements should be steady and slow, feel the weight on both the upward and downward movements.

Even though you are working mainly on your upper body, don't neglect your lower body. Balance and symmetry make for a pleasing physic.

To actually build mass, one usually does not do high reps, but works with weights that will allow you to do only 10-12 reps, then increase to a weight that only allows you to complete 8-10, increase again and do 6-8. Doing different types of exercises also helps to keep the muscles building.

There are many different ideas and formulas for bodybuilding, but they all agree, you need to rest your muscles at least 24 hours between workouts.
