Is it better to take protein after or before a workout?
I'm 16 trying to bulk up.
Answers:
in terms of 'better' then after is the correct answer. after your muscles have been 'torn up' after a workout, you need to hit protein and carbs hard and immediately. have a protein shake within 15mins of finishing your workout.
as for before a workout, you'll find that many bodybuilders do have a shake around an hour before working out (including me).
