Answers:
I tried the laxatives diet!. It didn't work at all, I didn't lose any weight!.

I'll stop there though as otherwise I'l start lecturing which you asked us not to!.

I used to be anorexic and it was a favourite trick of mine to take laxatives, not to lose weight but to make myself feel empty again!. I have now learnt my lesson the hard way and suffer from terrible IBS as a result of laxative abuse but hey if you don't want the lecture, ask yourself this!.!.!.'are you ready to mess up your digestive system for life just for the sake of losing a few pounds!?'

The best way to slim down just prior to a holiday is to cut back on carbohydrates that can make you bloated and retain water and stick to plenty of fruit and veg and lean protein!. doing this will help you lose a few pounds and feel/look slimmer!.

Don't use laxatives, except for their intended purpose, or you will suffer bad cramps, diarrhoea and then constipation when you stop taking them!. Your body will become dehydrated so your skin will look dull and spotty and you will have less energy!.

I am putting you off yet!?!!?

Try cutting out the carbs and drink plenty of water to flush everything through!. If you diet sensibly, you could lose between 1-3 pounds a week so that's potentially a 9lbs loss before your holiday and not a 'poo pill' in sight!.

Don't spoil your holiday, use your head :)Www@Answer-Health@Com

I'm not going to lecture you!. I'm going to provide you with some concrete facts!.

I think most rational people understand that using laxatives as a form of weight loss is not only dangerous but can even be life threatening!.!.!.

Enough about that - here are some sources in case you are unsure!.!.!.

Remember one important rule of thumb: just because you CAN do something, does not mean you SHOULD!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

oh gosh, thats a crazy idea!.!.!. by taking laxatives you will only push out any excrement that is in your bowels and you wont really 'lose weight' !.!.!. because you are only going to lose the ****!.!.!.!. !

infact if you are going to go on some crazy diet for the next 3 weeks and also take laxatives your body will really be dehydrated and stressed and starved!. i mean its like first you take laxative that completely flushes out your gut, then the body needs these fluids replenished so it is going to make you feel hungry and thirsty but oh no you will be on diet so you wont eat properly!.

sorry i am not even going to try to explain to you what weight loss means and how a good diet and regular exercise is the only right way to lose weight and keep healthy

dont do it, go for light meals and lots of greens and lots of salads and plenty of water and exercise for 1 hr a day!.

thanks for the 2 points and i really hope you change your mind!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I did the same thing before, It gave me properm severe stomach ache and i was on the toilet non stop!. also it makes you STARVING after!. didnt work for me atall but its your decision and evryones different!. honestly speaking its not dangerous if you do it once but all the time its very unhealthy, what works for me is in the morning drink hot water with lemon, it detoxes your system and makes you lose weight, good luck xxWww@Answer-Health@Com

Its very dangerous, you will only loose water weight, and when you eat again, you will gain it all back!. & you will be confiened to your home on the toilet, and could even develop permanent diarrhea &will experience severe sore bottoms &stomach aches!.
You are honestly, better of dieting and exercising!.
3 good healthy meals a day & plenty of exercise, and you could loose about 4kg!. [9lbs ish]

Good luck xxWww@Answer-Health@Com

No lecture but I have to ask what do you hope to achieve with this plan!?

Sure, you'll probably lose weight but it will just be water loss not fat loss!. It certainly won't make a difference to how you look in a bathing suit (except you might actually look sick)!.

If you've got three weeks and you're on a diet, why don't you just do an extra 30 minutes of excercise each day until then!? You can make some positive changes in that time!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Your'e going to have a hard time not getting critical responses because it isn't a good idea!. What I did a couple years ago when I needed to lose about 5 lbs, was to eat a meal bar for two meals a day and then a healthy balanced meal in the evening!. I have also done juice purges a couple of times a year just to clean out my system (toxins etc!.!.!.!.!.not drugs) and it has the added benefit of making you lose a lb or two!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

im in exactly the same boat as you, same height and same weight!.!. im eating kellogs special k for breakfast and lunch for 2 weeks, and snacking on seeds when im hungry!.!. its hard :( but i keep looking at my old holiday photos and its keeping me going!! drink loads of water and if u wanna flush out your system, overdose on fruit! eat loads of oranges ! they'll soon clear u out !Www@Answer-Health@Com

The whole point of losing weight should be to get fitter and healthier, rather than simply to move the pointer on the scales down! Eat less and exercise more as a long term commitment, what you propose is pointless!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Use Charmin if you really have no more sense!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
