Are smoothies good or bad? What about all that fruit sugar?!


Question: Are smoothies good or bad!? What about all that fruit sugar!?
I only make my own at home with pure fruit and sometimes pure fruit juice if they are too thick!. I dont buy the ones from the shop!. Iam a bit worried about all the natural fruit sugars and calories!. Can too much fruit be bad for you!? or should i stop worrying!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

There is nothing wrong with natural fruit smoothies the way you are describing how you make them!. The issue just comes in when there's added sugar or sweeteners!. The fiber is still there if you're using whole fruits, and that helps to balance some of the sugars!. You can always use water instead of, or in addition to, the fruit juice you use as a base if you're concerned about your sugar intake!. I guarantee you natural fruit sugar from whole fruits is safer than any other type of ar sugar, natural and artificial, that you would add to any food or drink, period!. The body is able to break down and utilize those sugars for energy much better!. Of course, everything should be in moderation, so you don't want to have fruit smoothies 3x a day, like you would do for meals!. Once in the morning for breakfast, or midway through your day as a snack is no problem!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Smoothies do contribute to your 5 a day, which is good!. However they are also high in calories and fructose, fruit sugar, which is just as negative as too much glucose or sucrose!. Also since they lack most of the fibre of the whole fruit, they give very fast calories, which is negative feature as well!. A normal drinking glass of most smoothies can be 250 calories, that is 10-15% of your calorie requirement for 24 hours, and it is quite possibe to consume this in 5 seconds!Www@Answer-Health@Com

I'd much rather eat fruit that have smoothies!. You usually end up mushing several fruits to get a smoothie that fills you up!. By the the fibers are most likely gone!.

Eating fruits is better, cos you end up eating far less, fibers are good for you as well!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

According to nutritionists smoothies are full of calories, honestly how they come to that conclusion I don't know, its something to do with the sugar breaking down when the fruit is pulsed, whole pieces of fruit are better for you so they say!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

i read in the newspaper that it can be bad if you drink too much everyday cuz the suger in the fruit can damage your teeth!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

it depends if u add extra sugar or not!.
if u do add sugar use splenda or another sugar suplement!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Smoothies are really good for you! Do only contain natural sugar which you would be eating in your RDA of fruit anyways!Www@Answer-Health@Com
