Is my friend's diet considered anorexic?!

Question: Is my friend's diet considered anorexic!?
My friend told me her daily diet and I know I couldn't do that because it doesn't require much food!. Here it is:

Breakfast: 1/2 of a Slim Fast shake and a few grapes
Lunch: Green tea *no food
Dinner: Very small portions with water

*She has no snacks and she does a work out video, jogs, and does sit ups throughout the day!. What do you think, is that anorexic!?

I know anorexic is eating just like a few crackers every day, but don't you think this is on the border line at least!? Thanks!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

That sure is!. If she continues to eat like this, she might start to eat even less!. Tell her that when she gets off that diet, she'll just gain the weight back!. My friend had this problem, she'd only eat a piece of watermelon a day and now her parents are checking her into an eating disorder clinic!. You need to get your friend help, talk to a trusted adult, she may get mad about you telling on her, but you could save her life in the long-run!. If your weight gets to down, you're at risk for a heart attack, no matter what age!. Here is some info about anorexia: http://en!.wikipedia!.org/wiki/Anorexia_%2!.!.!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I am recovering from an eating disorder and these are the classic symptoms!.
She is an anorexic, and she will end up in hospital the way she is going, and trust me hospital is not all its cut out to be! When you first go into their it is horrific!. Tell someone you and she trusts, then you would not have to deal on you own!. Then just support her and try to encourage her to eat!. Dont get angry just encourage and when she does be happy and congratulate her!.
When you have an eating disorder you really need the support of you friends and family so stay by her however she acts, because you tend to become very irrational and irritable!.

This is very serious and you need to tell someone and get her some help!. Especially if she look like she is losing weight!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Anorexic isn't just eating a few crackers everyday, it is eat between 0-600 calories a day + working out!. If you have noticed signifigant amount of weight dropped, then she may be sick!. She could possibly just have low appetite, but if she is pale, irritable, and is tired all the time, try telling an adult, don't try to handle this situation by yourself, or by not saying anything at all!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Well i wouldn't consider it yet, but if she's not care full, it could absolutely harm her health!. It sounds like she wants to lose weight and that's NOT the way to do it! you suppose to eat six to eight time a day small well portion foods, so that your metabolism acts faster, and burns more calories once you exercise!. If she continues eating like that, her metabolism is going to get use to just burning small amount of calories, and that's why she is going to wonder why she's not losing weight!. But absolutely what she's doing now is not healthy, is just making her feel weak and with no energy by not eating right!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

u might think that anorexia is just having 50 or so calories a day, but u can certaintly meet the requirements above that! u need to get ur friend some serious help!. call a doctor, bcuz if she continues eating like this, shell be doing serious damage to her body!. also, asuming that ur freinds doing this to lose weight, u can tell her that as soon as she stops this "diet", she will gain all of that weight back, and even more!. it will take her a LONG time to get her metablism back up to normal speed!. seriously though, DO NOT let this go, doing so would only hurt ur friend, it really is the best thing u could do for her!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

It's not a healthy and nutritious diet for someone who exercises that much!. For sure she is going to lose weight eating (or not eating) that way!.

It will lead her into trouble for sure if she continues like that!. I guess you should be saying how much she weighs to start off with!. If she is very thin she will be in trouble in no time if she keeps that up for very extended periods of time!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

She's not exactly anorexic yet!.
but if she continues to eat like this she could be!.
Dieting like this wont help her out at all, i give her props to her working out but that is not enough food!.
When she stops like this she will gain more weight than she lost and then will keep reducing how much she eats!
you should really help her out because that is not a healthy way to live

hope i can help :)!Www@Answer-Health@Com

That is pretty close to being full blown anorexic!. A shake and grapes all day is starving herself!. This is extremely unhealthy, and you should think about telling someone like her mom, so that they are aware of her problem!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Anorexic isn't just eating crackers!. Any diet that puts you that much below what your body needs to live fits the term!. Your friend is not borderline; she is anorexic, and you need to try to get her some help!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

if she continues to eat like that then she will be!.

she will soon pass out and have to eat normal again!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
