Working out is not enjoyable?!

Question: Working out is not enjoyable!?
I know I need to workout to be healthy, but I just don't like it--no matter how long I force myself to do it!. I really do wish I was like the millions of people who LIVE for workouts and training!. Does it ever get easier!? Is there a certain point at which it becomes ENJOYABLE!? Or do people who love to workout just do it for the results!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

It takes 2-3 weeks for it to become at all routine!. I'm not sure if I ever called my workout itself "enjoyable" but the feeling I have afterwards and the feeling I have when I see myself in the mirror (or am able to do something athletically) is the reward for the workout!. This is the part that is "enjoyable!."

You should find that the day-to-day course of your life should be "enjoyable" because you are healthy and fit!.

That said, there are things you can do to make it more enjoyable!. I listen to music I really like on my i-pod when I work out!. Moving your body to good music is like dancing- physical exertion to music!. Then, I plan my running or biking routes along enjoyable courses, rather than being on a boring treadmill!. Some people work out with friends and find the social interaction enjoyable!. For me, it's more of a meditative state!. It is my form of prayer where I focus solely on myself, my mind and what I intend on doing that day, that week or whatever!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Some people just like it!. I hate it, have always hated it, and will continue to do so!. The trick is to make it part of something else where you can!. If you're lifting weights, or using a treadmill, elliptical, stationary bike, or really any indoor exercise equipment, you can watch tv or a movie, read a book, or listen to the radio!. I find it helps if I am not concentrating on the workout!. The other half of incorporating it into something else is to try to make part of your workout sports instead!. A good long swim is much more enjoyable than hanging out in the gym, as is a game of racketball, both of which are superb cardio/whole body exercise!. Any fast paced/high movement sport is probably at least an okay cardio workout, and is more fun than just running!. Try to find something you like!.

Good luck!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Some people LIKE working out!. Those are the people who do it religiously and enjoy it!.

Try to find ways YOU LIKE to workout!.!.!.
- Join a club soccer team or kickball league!.
- Take classes or get into dance!.
- Put together a music mix that gets you pumped up
- Switch up your workout - cardio, weights, circuit
- Get a dog walking job on the side for the evenings
- Go for a walk and talk on your cell phone for 30 min every night
- Get a Wii and some games that involve movement or the Wii Fit

You just have to come up with something that gets you up and moving, that you enjoy and want to stick with!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I would suggest trying a vast variety of things!. It may take some time before you find the one thing that you enjoy!. For me, I like to run and fast walk on the treadmill BUT I need some good music or the tv for something to watch!. For my sister, she LOVES jazzersize!. She has always loved excersize classes, she gets a great workout and has met some good people!. Also, weight lifting is awesome!. Get a trainer (its great to have someone to show you the proper forms, reps, etc!. and someone to talk to)!. There is such a vast amount of things you could try!. Just don't give up!. 30 minutes a day!. That is all you need to keep telling yourself!. For some suggestions, there is also marathons, boxing, kayaking, aerobic classes (such as spin), a local intramural sport such as softball, soccer, etc!. Also, buy a little MP3 or ipod and hook up some good tunes!. Sounds silly, but it somehow it gives you that little bit of extra energy!. Before you know it, you will find what you like and it can become a great stress reliever for you!. !. !.and you can stay in shape!Www@Answer-Health@Com

I LOVE working out!. It becomes addictive to a point because it just leaves you stress-free!. Do you have an mp3 player!? I'll be unable to workout efficiently without it!. It's also psychological!. Just think about how much you're benefiting your life and body with exercise!. The exercise will help prevent heart disease, lower cholesterol, and much more!. Thinking about living a longer, healthier life is the biggest motivation!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

yeah the results are great but seriously i have tryied the gym idea and joggin all that crap but the best way for me is to !.!.!.!. go swimming with some friends , hit the b-ball courts with the guys, i also don't drive anywhere with in a 45 minute walk might take longer but come on your gettin to watever you needed to anyways and i also will do sit ups once a week but i play my music!.!.!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

thanks for saying that, because i hate it, too!. i don't love to work out, but then i would work out when a t!.v!. show i liked was on (jeopardy for me) and it would seem to go by faster!. when the weight starting dropping off then i became happier with working out!. just happier, still don't love it!. i love how i look, so i'll keep on going!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

If you dont like it Neena, dont force yourself!.

Try to find something athletic you like to do!. A sport!? A game!? Walking in the park!. Anything that gets you moving is really working out!. Even walking around the mall!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Do it with a friend, cousin or anyone!. And think about the results and think why you should workout!.

Try biking, dancing or playing a game that requires moving in Wii (if you have Wii)!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Well for me it is not fun either but listen to music while you do it!. It does get easy if you do it over and over and over!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I'd suggest listening to music while your working out!. That makes it seem a lot easier!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

nothing is easy in this world!. But after it is done, you'll see its beauty!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
