Which muscles are used in arm wrestling? How can I build them?!

Question:

Which muscles are used in arm wrestling? How can I build them?

BTW we can't curl, that's considered cheap and cheating.

Answers:

the four main muscles you use are your biceps, triceps, forearm and deltoids. To a smaller extent you will use your trapezoids and lat muscles, but the first four I mentioned are the ones you'll use the most.

even if you don't curl, you will use those other muscles so it's important to build all four.

it's important to make sure you train these muscles both for endurance and immediate strength (aka fast twitch and slow twitch muscles). which means you're doing a combination of strength and muscle building exercises along with conditioning exercises. One requires you to overload your muscles so that the recovery allows for your muscle fibers to handle more strain against it. the other requires you to put your muscles in endurance exercises which will help build your stamina.

depending on your strategy (whether you want to just knock em out quickly or be stuck in a long wrestling match where you hope he tires out) will dictate which type of training you should do more of. also be aware of what type of athlete you are. most of us are naturally one or the other, allowing us to excel in one type of training over the other so put your focus there but don't neglect your weak points. good luck and kick ***!
