Question: Would jumping rope be as effective (in terms of cardio, overall workout) as jogging is!?
Answers:
Yes!!!! Probably more so! I can run for 5 miles or more!.!.!.!.but when I jump rope, I can only do it for 15 to 20 mins at a time!. And I sweat a heck of a lot more, and "feel" a better cardio fat burn!.

Absolutely, it is an extremely effective way to burn calories!. Boxers use the jump rope - just look how fit they are!. It will tone your entire body too!.

I run on a regular basis - about 15 miles a week!. But I too can't jump rope for long!.

Any cardiovascular exercise is good for the heart and lungs!. Running, swimming, cycling, climbing up stairs, using a trampoline and of course jump rope!.

actually babe i was told by my phically theripist that jumprope is the best cardio for anybody cause your working everything twice as hard while jogging although very good exercise it actually does not work out as much of your body as you would like to thinkWww@Answer-Health@Com
