How can i gain weight healthfully?!

Question:

How can i gain weight healthfully?

I have recently lost a lot of weight and I want to gain some of it back. I'm a 16 year old female and 5'4 and only 101 pounds. I don't think this is a healthy weight, so I'd like to gain some of it back. I really don't want to eat a whole lot of junk food and stuff because I don't want to gain it all back in fat. I still want my stomach to be toned. Any tips? Thanks!

Answers:

First don't listen to big-mofo who thinks you're into bodybuilding and is probably juiced.

Secondly, if you want to gain weight it is either fat or muscles, so if you don't want that fat on your waist, you have to eat healthy foods while doing cardio exercises (running, sports)
And workout your abs 3 to 4 times a week.
Replace the junk snacks for fruits, chicken skinless and tuna cans specially at night, it means don't eat like a pig before to go to bed( 1 hour), just enough proteins to pass the night.
These are foods I eat off season and you should also eat...

Bread (1 or 2 slices a day not more!), cereal, rice, and pasta: granola, bagels, biscuits, cornbread.

Fruits: canned fruit in syrup, dried fruits, fruit nectars

Vegetables: avocado, olives, peas, squash, carots.

Poultry, fish, dry beans, eggs, and nuts: beef, pork, lamb, poultry, salmon, swordfish, omelets, nuts, peanut butter (easy on it), kidney beans, chickpeas.

Milk, yogurt, and cheese: milk, fruited yogurts, hard cheeses, puddings, custards, protein shakes!

Use in moderation fats, oils, and sweets, such as butter, margarine, sour cream, cream cheese, gravy, salad dressings, jellies, jams, honey, and candies.

The key is to workout your body 3 to 4 times a week in resistance (means a lot of repetitions) while doing a lot of cardio, so you'll get your abs toned and you'll gain some fat but not around the waist nor the hips... it takes some times but it'll work.

You eat all that but watch the calories! this is important... or you'll gain fat where you don't to.
You need to eat according to your weight/height, which is around 2000 - 2100 calories for you.
When you're not at 2000 calories, just add a protein shakes to it, 1 scoop with a glass of milk should be good.

Good luck!
