Big hips & Thighs (I've included measurments)?!

Question: Big hips & Thighs (I've included measurments)!?
Ok, the whole bottom half of my body is out of proportion!.
I've got a 28" waist but 41" hips (that's measured from the biggest part of my bum round)!. My thighs are the worst (24")!. I mean, come on they're almost as big as my waist itself! Can anybody give my tips on how to get rid of all this jelly!!? I've been running now (30-40mins a day) since March and nothing's happened!. I do all sorts at the gym!. The only thing I drink is water, and I've been trying to eat healthy!. Can any body help me please, because I've got to the point now where I actually feel disgusting when I look at myself!.
Thankyou :)

Calm down love, it's not that bad!. At 10 1/2 stone you are still not overweight and you have a good waist/hip ratio of 0!.68!. If you do a lot of running and strength training you will have thicker thighs than someone who doesn't work out!. 24 inch thighs isn't exactly terrible, I would expect someone with your hip size to have around 24 inch thighs!.

Anyway just keep working out and eating healthy and you'll soon start to see improvements in your body!. You are not disgusting and never say negative things to yourself otherwise you will just end up making yourself miserable with low self esteem!.

Take care : )Www@Answer-Health@Com

Well, loosing weight does take time so try to stick with it!. It sounds like you're a "pear shape!." Keep up with the cardio and I would suggest taking some sort of class (kick boxing, spinning, pilates) you'll feel like you're part of a communitiy and you'll probably get a better workout!. IF you're still not loosing weight I would suggest seeing your doctor and asking him/her to check your thyroid as well as your other hormones!. Who knows, it could be anabolic and/ or hormonal!. However, it could also be that you're more likely to gain and retain weight in those areas ( i know i am and i have to work hard at it)!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I can't believe that you are running that much and have jiggly thighs!.? Are you sure you haven't built up the muscles in your legs from all the running you are doing!?

what other exercises are you doing for your upper half to balance out all the activity you get for the bottom half!?

how's your food intake (I hate "diet" because it implies that you will go back to old eating habits which will just cause you to gain weight again)!. Just as changing your eating habits alone won't help you lose weight, exercise alone won't help you lose weight either!. The two really need to work together for the maximum effect!.

edit:
oh, honey, you're still growing!. Unless you're clinically or morbidly obese don't worry too much about weight fluctuations!. You'll experience temporary weight gains just before you have a growth spurt--and you probably have 2 more growth spurts to look forward to over the next 2 years!. Your body needs the energy for all the hard work it will be doing to grow!. Keep up the exercise and the good eating habits!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
