How to lose more weight?!


Question: How to lose more weight!?
Last summer I weighed nearly 150 pounds (I'm 5'5 tall), and right now I weigh 130, but the problem is that I haven't been losing any weight for a few months now, even though I continue exrecising and eating healthy, it's just stuck at 130 -_- I would love to weigh around 115, but I just don't know what to do!

I eat around a 1000 to 1500 calories a day, and I try to eat at least a portion or two of fruit and veg every day!. I also do sit-ups every day and walk everywhere rather than drive (although i do live in a rather small town so everything is not too far away hehe)!. Is there anything specific I can do to lose more weight!? I don't want to starve myself because I know that it will only do me harm in the long run!. Thanks! :DWww@Answer-Health@Com

I know what you're dealing with!. I went through the same thing!. I was stuck at 125 for a couple of months!. Here's what you do, tomorrow eat what you want!. TRY to get in 1800 calories for the next two days!. The next day eat 1200 calories!. Next day eat 1400 calories!. Next day 1200 calories!. On the days that are 1400 calories and lower eat AT LEAST 4-5 fruits and veggies a day and only 1 starch (example: potatoes, pasta, chips, bread) This worked for me! When you hit plateus like that, you've gotta trick your body a little bit!. Also, if you can get a good workout dvd (like TaeBo) do it!. If you have the channel Fit TV, try the In Shape with Sharon Mann shows!. You need to switch up your exercise routine a little to start burning some more calories!.

If you are ages 20 to 45 the average weight is 125-155!. So, you are obviously not overweight and you definitely do not need to worry about losing weight!. 115 seriously!? I weighed 115 in 7th grade!. Unless you are naturally petite, you do not need to weigh 115 pounds at your age if you are in the age group I listed above!. And please do not take that other persons advice to starve yourself!. What a terrible thing to say!Www@Answer-Health@Com

forget all the calories!. what i did and lost alot is i ate my favorite foods, but i put a blindfold on so i had to listen to my stomach, not my eyes!. you'd be amazed how much more is on your plate then there used to be!. usually you don't think your full but you really are!. if you try that you'll start to see a difference!. it's really your metabolism so there is no reason to starve yourself, that would make it worse and it's bad for your bodyWww@Answer-Health@Com

115 at your height isn't very healthy--130 is actually perfect!.
Your body just plateaued and though this seems like odd advice, I promise it works!.
Up your cal intake by 200 or 300 for a 4 or 5 days and then go back down to your normal 1000-1500 cal!. intake!.
Instead of walking, try running--it's MUCH more efficient!.
And instead of sit-ups, do crunches!.
That's all I can tell you!.
I wouldn't lower your intake past 1000 because that'd be bad for your health!Www@Answer-Health@Com

you could do what my mum does!. she joined a weight slimmers about!.!.!. 5 years ago and it has got her from 96 kilos to 77 kilos!. the slimmers gives you a diet plan and does groups walks every meeting!. it has helped her eating habits heaps!. That is what you call "weight loss plateau"!. It is like a safety mechanism of our body!.

My GNC consultant shared this to me so I hope it will work on you too!.

You need to trick your body from doing the safety mechanism of plateau!.
Day 1: Get a whole free day!.
Morning: Drink milk and wheat bread only!. Power walking!.
Lunch: Eat like you have not eaten before!. Means stuff your self!. This will trick you body to work hard and digest all your food!. The safety mechanism will go down and your body will put its guard down!.
Around 6PM: Go to the gym and do lots and lots of work out!.
Day 2 to 6: do you regular diet and do double on your work out routine!.

My wife did this and she lost additional 10 lbs!.

For me I did a drastic move!. I eat less from my own diet and do more exercise!. More liquids and solids!. It worked but my trainer said its bad!. So i would recommend that you do what my wife did!.

once you get to a healthy weight your body doesn't want to lose too much more weight, and thats the reason you have leveled out while still eating healthy!.
though you are a good weight, i could understand if you wanted to still lose weight!.
i would suggest not losing too much more weight!.
i would say that you should stay eating just as you have been, but go to the gym and get toned!.
if you need help doing that, get a trainer for a month or two so that you have it all down!.
it sounds like you're eating right, but a gym membership should make you have the body type you want!.
also, cleansing your body with water is also a very healthy thing to do that will help tremendously!.
drink at least 8 glasses a day!.

The reason why your weight hasn't been changing in a while is because everyone's body has what is called a "set point", where your body tries it's hardest to maintain a certain weight (so you might change from 130 to 132 but not suddenly 120 lbs!.) Believe it or not, I learned about "set point" in Psychology class!. haha

Drink green tea, it helps you lose weight and it gives you some energy (mind you, its not like a can of Red Bull though)!. Swimming slims you down a lot as well!.

And don't let a weight measurment dissapoint you because you DO work out and working out will build some muscle/tone your body!. Muscle weighs more than fat does, in case you didnt know!. A muscular size 2 girl could weigh more than a regular size 4 girl!Www@Answer-Health@Com
