Do I have Bulimia?!

Question:

Do I have Bulimia?

Ever since two months ago I've been puking out evrything I eat.
I'd as much as possible but then I'd just stick a finger down my throat and let it all out. The process would take for an hour or two. Later during the days I'd drink as much water as possible and exercise like crazy. 200 sit ups, 300 Jumping Jacks and even run around outside for 2hours or more. Now I just feel week and really tired and my legs are on fire. I don't know how I tolerate all this, my grades are fine, and I concentrate on studying and reading more than ever but I get upset over the smallest things. I have a doctors appoinment on the 19th, do u think the doctor will notice?
Currently I'm 5'6'' and 116 lbs. and I'm also 14. I don't what to do, to stop this horrible obsession with my wieght and barfing out all my food, Please help
Thanx!

Answers:

I would say you have a mixture of eating disorders since you not only make yourself throw up but you also, don't eat food but drink water and you over exercise. The first thing you should do is to seek help. Talk to your parents, doctor, a teacher or counselor, a coach, or another trusted adult. Compulsive exercise, especially when it is combined with an eating disorder, can cause serious and permanent health problems, and in extreme cases, death.

When you go to your doctors appointment you should tell him or her what is going on with you. Because our bodies go through so many important developments during the teen years, guys and girls who have compulsive exercise problems need to see a doctor to make sure they are developing normally. This is especially true if the person also has an eating disorder. Female athlete triad, a condition that affects girls who overexercise and restrict their eating because of their sports, can cause a girl to stop having her period. Medical help is necessary to resolve the physical problems associated with overexercising before they cause long-term damage to the body. So talk to your mother, father, doctor, or someone you trust......and get help before you hurt yourself.

When you talk to your doctor you should say......" Dr. (Doctors name), I have something very important to tell you and I want help so I don't hurt myself anymore than I have....(and you tell him or her what has been going on with you.)"
