Question:
Would an hour of jogging be more physically beneficial than an hour of power walking?
Would it burn more calories and put me in better shape?I pretty much walk/jog the same distance (an hour and 40 minutes of walking or anhour jogging covers the same distance for me) so are they the same?

Depends what you are looking for.
You will burn more fat walking for a long period of time (as long as you aren't panting you are burning fat) as soon as you start panting you will be burning carbs. You will be in better physical shape if you run though. Exercise must be done for at least 20 minutes or your body does not acknowledge that you have worked.
