Question: Diet suggestions needed, 28 year old female who is severly overweight! Please help!!!?
I am a 28 year old mother of 3 & have been slim most of my life!. After my second child I had to have my gall bladder removed and since then I have gained weight like crazy!! I'm 165cm tall & weigh a horrifying 113kgs!. I've been to a doctor that basically told me to stop eating snacks and chocolate and rubbish, but here's the kicker!.!.!. I would be lucky to have a block of chocolate in an entire year as it gives me migraines, I do not eat chips or biscuits unless we are at a party (which is very very rare) I do not drink alcohol!. I do not eat icecream & apart from a special occasion I do not eat cakes!.

I love vegies and fruit & eat a fair amount, but probably not as much raw as I should!. I have not exercised for a long time & have just got an orbitrek elite, have been using it for three days & feel it's doing me good, I'm wanting to lose weight before my Mum's wedding in November with a calorie controlled diet but don't know what consumption I should have to lose weight!? Please helpWww@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
Weight loss occurs because you eat less calories a day then you consume!. The key to weight loss is learning how many calories you need each day!. This is known as your TEE or Total Energy Expenditure!. It is made up of your metabolic rate, your lifestyle, and the exercise you do!. If you eat fewer calories then you need you will lose weight!.

Each person's TEE is different!. A registered dietician (RD) can determine your TEE, and there are online nutrition sites that can estimate it for you!. Knowing your TEE is actually the easy part!. The hard part is figuring out how much you are actually consuming!. One of the most reliable ways to do this is by record keeping!. Again online sites can help you track what you eat!.

If you can't find a local RD or it is too expensive you can estimate your metabolic rate with an online calculator search on the web for mifflin metabolic rate!. Most of these sites will also tell you how to estimate your TEE!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Well you should probably get a gym membership and sign up for the weight loss activities, does usually help you get motivated!. If you want more exercise get a personal trainer!. For now!. Just watch your calories, stop eating out, and dont each so much carbs (bread etc) Start eating more vegetables and fruits and buy organic made stuff!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Use your elite machine every day for as long as you comfortably can!. Eat only fish and vegetables and drink only water for one week at a time!. Then take a day off from the diet to eat fruit, whole wheat bread, etc!. Then go back to only fish and vegetables!. You will lose weight!. Drink a lot of water!. Good luck!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

fast!.!.!.dont eat anything at all for a day or two except for water!. after this, your stomach will shrink and you wont want as much to eat!.!.!.therefore,,you will lose weight!!! and if you dont want to fast, then just eat fruits, veggies, and drink water for a day or more!.!.!.you'll notice that you will feel better!. hope this helps!!Www@Answer-Health@Com

a high fiber breakfast every morning and dont eat 3 hours before bed!. exersize, lots of water, when i am just sitting watching tv i flex my ab muscles here and there, and i havnt been eatting any high fructose corn syrup!. that is what i have been doing and im doing good!. i have slimed down!.

oh yeah and dont stuff your self when you eat your meals!. dont eat till your full, eat till you arnt hungry anymore!. eat slowly too, dont rushWww@Answer-Health@Com

Try eating portion sizes!. In America, that's our main problem---we eat too much of something!. Even a lot of veggies isnt good!. So try cutting portions, eat only serving sizes, and do a lot f crunches!. Try "bicycle crunches" too, they're the most effective!. Good luck!Www@Answer-Health@Com

1!. Stop giving yourself excuses: "mom of 3" is an excuse!.
2!. Eat less (fairly common sense)
3!. Exercise (whatever floats your boat and makes you sleep better at night, if you like running great, if you like using 1 grand to buy a bowflex then thats even better)
4!. Thats about it, dedication and dedication if probably the last and the most important point: how much do you want to lose that weight is the question!.

@asker: I honesty can't believe you're asking this question!. As a 28 year old-mother-of-3 you should be intelligent enough to know these basic things i just listed and if anything, more on the virtue of you being the woman!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

It sounds to me like there might be something else going on there!. I have a friend who has a similiar problem who is overweight purely because of a hormone imbalance!. If it were me, I would get a blood test to see if something's not right!. Otherwise, for me I'm skinny because i excersise regularly and get enough sleep!. Your eating habits sound ok, if they are really what you say they are, but make sure it's a balanced diet and not just fruits and vegis!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
