Question: I want to gain more muscle and minimize cardio, does this work!?
Ok, i have been training intensely for the last 12 months!. Ive been on a strict diet (eating small, every 2-3 hours) and taking glutamine and protein for muscle mass!. I have seen a lot of progress over the months, but Im not quite there yet!. I want to get a little bigger!.

I would consider myself quite lean and toned, so my body fat is fairly low!. I was thinking if i cut cardio down to a half hour a week (intense half hour), and on my other 4 workout days i will do intense free weights!. Would this work for bigger muscle mass!.!.!.as i think its cardio that is holding me back from gaining anything!.

Just for the record: i do weights by the text book!. 3 sets of 10 reps (4-5 different exercise per muscle group) and increasing weight as i move up sets!. I use proper form and get proper rest!.

I wouldn't say goodbye to the cardio too fast!. You always need to have it there, maybe more than a half and hour a week!. Cardio does burn fat, but it also helps you're heart, and increases endurance and stamina!. It's very good for you, not just for fat burning!. If you want to get a little bit bigger, maybe you need to eat more!. More protein in your meals should do the trick as long you keep your workouts intense!. You didn't list your diet so I don't know what you're eating, but throw in some more meats and anything else with protein!. But for your health, it's good to be doing cardio!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
