Sports Physical therapists and or Pro weight trainers:?!
Question:
Sports Physical therapists and or Pro weight trainers:?
How do you teach a person to lift weights?
What are all of the things that you would teach a new person to do in order to learn the proper way to lift and which ways to lift etc?
I want to learn..I just bought two five lbs weights...my hubby's youngest daughter had sports therapy..she told me when you start out you do three sets of ten!I want to go slowly...as I am a person who "overdoes it" with just carrying heavy groceries..(I can carry like 25 lbs sometimes more.in each hand..).but, I really need to take it slower!
Can anybody help me here!?
Thanks soo much!

This would really be the job of a personal trainer as opposed to a physical therapist. Physical therapy is reserved for those with a functional limitations in need of treatment for recovery. A therapist certainly could teach your proper form...but it's like having your doctor apply a bandage...he/she can do it, but really a nurse can do it just as well and for much less cost. Go for a personal training session with a certified trainer.
