What's the deal with varying reports of GI levels on food? Any *trustworthy*!

Question: What's the deal with varying reports of GI levels on food!? Any *trustworthy* sites I can use!?
Ok, going to start this low GI thing and am making up a grocery list for myself!. However, between the books and the internet, everyone has a different rating on foods for what's low GI and what isn't!. Some foods are consistent, but some are reportedly different depending on where you look!. For example I've seen about 3 different ratings on corn on the cob!. I know it's supposed to be good but for crying out loud, I've seen it between "low" and "medium" and at least 3 different rating numbers!. Same with some other foods!. And yet others have some foods listed as low and then another place list the same food as high, which *really* confuses me!. Is there a real go-to reference guide that has the real, most accurate, or at least the most trusted list of low GI foods!? This is seriously pissing me off!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
