I have had my second child and am considering getting my tubes tied.?

i would appreciate any advice from someone who has been there and done that.i would like to know whether you are happy with your decision, bodychanges, pros and cons, costs involved and what's involved in the op etc. etc. many thanks.

I had my tubes tied 3 1/2 years ago and it was the worst decision I ever made. I had extremely complicated pregnancies and didn't want to go through it again so decided to get my tubes tied. I had just delivered my daughter and felt wonderful!! A day or so later they took me in for surgery. When I came out it was pure hell. It was the most excruciating pain I had ever endured. I can't even begin to describe how bad it was. It completely ruined the experience I had with my new baby daughter.

The doctors and nurses seemed to gloss over the possible side effects. Sharp stabbing pains when I ovulate. Sharp stabbing cramps. Very heavy periods. I've had surgery to remove ovarian cysts. Horrible mood swings. Please check out this website about post tubal ligation syndrome before you decide to do this.

If I knew then what I know now, I would NOT have had this surgery.
