What Would An Ideal Healthy Lunch?!

Question:

What Would An Ideal Healthy Lunch?

Does anyone know what a truly healthy lunch would consist of? What are the ideal foods to eat this time of day for maximum nutrition? Are there any people out there that make it a point ot eat super a super healthy Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner? Thanks very much!

Answers:

A good lunch is very balanced. It should include lean protein, complex carbohydrates, veggies, mostly unsaturated fat, and fruit for dessert.

For example:

grilled skinless chicken breast, whole wheat pasta w/ tomato sauce, steamed broccoli drizzled with olive oil & topped with almonds, and cantaloupe

Tofu stir fried with sugar snap peas and carrots, brown rice, and pineapple

turkey breast and bean chili, whole grain crackers, guacamole, lettuce salad w/ vinaigrette, and berries

Those are just a few examples of lunches that I think are very healthy and tasty at the same time. I try to eat very healthy through the entire day...getting all of the necessary vitamins/minerals, adequate fiber intake, no hydrogenated oils, plenty of water, small amounts of sugar, etc.
