I have a torn acl ligament and can't run, can I lose weight by just lifting !


Question: I have a torn acl ligament and can't run, can I lose weight by just lifting weights!?
My knee makes it hard for me to do any kind of heavy cardio and I want to drop from 165 to about 150 mostly muscle!. I'm 5'8!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

You can burn calories lifting weights, and your body burns calories more efficiently the more muscle you have, and I suppose if you eat very healthy and low calories you should be able to lose some weight!.

However, I think it would be tough!. You may want to see a doctor and get ACL reconstructoin surgery so that you can run again, a little bit of misery is worth the results in the long run!Www@Answer-Health@Com
