Did I mess my day up?!


Question: Did I mess my day up!?
I am taking the prescription drug adipex-p, which causes me to have a decreased appetite, so here's what I had:

Breakfast: Whole grain english muffin with a tbsp of jelly

Snack: fat free raspberry yogurt and half an apple!.

dinner: a french dip sandwich, and a few french fries from Arby's!.

I hecka didn't want to eat that, but i knew I had to eat!.!.!.

I did exercise today though! Yay me!Www@Answer-Health@Com

It's great that you're feeling good about your progress - losing weight is soo hard and there are so many temptations along the way!. Don't get obsessed! Don't go overboard w/ the diet thing!. You could teach yourself to become anorexic very easily!. Food is not your enemy - society's idea of what's attractive and your own low self-esteem are!. Don't deny yourself enough food for you to feel full!. Don't eat a "prison diet" of a muffin and a teaspoon of jelly!. Eat a normal meal but cut back your portions!. Try to eat your 4 food groups so that your body isn't working against you by craving the things you aren't giving it!. Eat lots of the things that have fewer calories like fruits/veggies - that way you won't have as much hunger for the higher calorie items!. But eat the higher calorie items so that your body doesn't send you into a wild craving fit where you just go wild!. Don't punish yourself when you think you've completely blown it - you've only blown it for that moment!. Because you ate a few fries, you haven't sabotaged your entire diet! It feels that way, I know, but you won't ever lose weight and keep it off unless you diet like you'll eat for the rest of your life!. You aren't going to swear off fries forever, or anything else!. Eat the kinds of things you like just eat responsibly!. Don't eat an entire gallon of ice cream but have a scoop and enjoy it!. Instead of 3 burgers at McDonald's, maybe one burger and a salad and a drink (don't really splurge and get a shake - that's just too much temptation to not stay within smart guidelines!. Don't punish yourself by depriving yourself of the "normal" foods in life!. Just have discipline!. Know what your trigger foods are - those foods that just set you off where you lose all willpower and just eat to :feel better, get over- full, drown your sorrows,fears,anxieties, etc!.Stay away from them!. If you have to eat them for some reason, know your vulnerability and eat only that food and remove yourself from the table!. Distract yourself with anything else (clean your room or re-organize your purse, call a friend, start a load of wash, vacuum your room, do some homework, write about how hard it is to stay in control when you eat and so many foods are so good but you know you have to stay away from them - so that you're not tempted to continue eating!.) Just get your mind off eating!. When you finish a meal, it takes your brain 20-30 minutes to recognize how full you are!. Chances are, you're eating even when you're not hungry - you're just not letting your brain tell you!. Eat slowly and savor every bite!. That way, you'll give your mind time to know what's in your stomach and you'll stop sooner!. Drink more water at meals - that helps to fill you up and it doesn't add any more calories to your meal!.
You don't need to starve yourself to lose weight - just eat less calories than you burn up!. It's simple!. With your medication, you'll be tempted less to eat when you don't need to!. Be sure to eat 3 meals a day - even!. I though you're not as hungry!. Just eat to keep your body fueled!. It's also a good pattern to learn!. If you eat 3 meals a day, pretty evenly spaced out, you won't be famished and won't binge like crazy to satisfy that sugar low!. Eat regularly to keep your blood sugar where your body needs it!. 3 meals a day should do that w/ a possible fruit snack in between!. Good luck!Www@Answer-Health@Com
