Is it the stress?!

Question:

Is it the stress?

For the last month and a half i have been gaining more and more weight...i'm 5'6...in feburary i weight in at 112 (which is kind of low but i lost it the heathly way) now i just weighted myself a couple hours ago and now i weigh 133! I don't really remember eating to much more then i usually do and i'm working out more then normel. But i've been through some stressfull times lately...can find it harder to lose weight and keep gaining it if you a under tons of stress? Even if you arent pigging out more then usually....please help...and if you have been in a sitution like this how did you get out of it?

Answers:

There could be many possible explanations or factors for this:

- Since you were underweight, it is possible your body just readjusted itself.

- Working out will increase your muscle mass, thus increase your weight, and muscles are heavy.

- A medical condition preventing your system from processing energy intake properly. This could be an indication of malfunctioning of some organ, that may or not be sign of an infection.

I would consequently advise you to weight yourself in two weeks around the same time of day and compare.

If you continue gaining weight without an observable gain of muscle mass, you should go see a doctor.
