Question: If you work out and dont eat protein!?!?!?
well if you hava hard workout and dont eat protein after it like a shake or rich protein food will your muscles feed off some body fat!? or something!? in simple terms what happens if you have a hard workout and dont eat protein after or before it!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

after every workout your muscles go into a catabolic state, meaning you start losing muscle!. the only way to keep all the muscle you just worked for is to give your body alot of protien!. Protien is what muscles are made of and what they feed off of!. Muscles use protien to recover!. If your muscles dont get the protiens they need then they will take protien from your other muscles!. This means your will actually lose muscle!. Also if you dont ingest enough protien and continue working out, you can easily slip into overtraining!. This is a problem that occurs from overworking your muscles while not giving them enough rest and/or nutrition!. It has many bad side effects including anger, depression, sleep loss, muscle loss!.!.!.etc!. The list goes on!.

Protien before a workout is not really as important before a workout as it is after a workout!. Taking it before a workout wont give you energy!. It's not bad but it wont give you a better effect while working out!. Just make sure you get enough protien after the workout!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

In this case your body will use up its own stores of protein, starting with those that are most readily broken down such as muscle tissue!.!.it is even possible to loose heart tissue this way!.!.but if you don't die first then you will loose fat as well!. or you could try a low fat diet instead!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

your body needs the protein after a work out!. if you do not eat protein it will use the protein already in your body wich is your muscle mass!. fat will burn eventually, but that is more about diet and creating a calorie deficit!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

your body needs the protein to rebuild lost muscle, as during a workout your muscle fibres break and the protein you would take after a workout will rebuild them!.
