You need 2000 to just breathe and move around; so you have 2000 extra in this diet!. 3500 calories creates one pound of fat!. What that translates to is a weight gain of about 4 pounds a week!.

I'm surprised he would ask you NOT to exercise - unless this is a very short term thing!. Normally, good exercise is required for any person, regardless of whether they are gaining or losing weight!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

When a person is very underweight, they need to eat a whole lot to grow some fat!. Fat is not necessarily bad! It fulfils some very important functions!. Once you have a bit of fat on you, exercise will again be very important so you can grow muscle!. You won't look "fat"; you will just look healthier!. You will feel healthier too!. Muscle weighs more than fat and will help you gain weight!. If you are 14, you are probably still growing!. Bone is the slowest to be affected and will only start growing normally if you have sufficient quantities of fat and muscle!.

I am guessing your doctor wants you to put some fat on your bones very quickly, and that's why he's suggesting you eat a lot!. When you start gaining weight, he'll probably tell you to start exercising - gently - to increase your muscle mass!.

I have an adopted sibling who was very malnourished and underweight when he came to us, and that was the process we took with him!. He's now perfectly healthy and a normal size and weight, so this does work!. Of course, if you have any questions about what your doctor is saying, you have every right to ask him for explanations or go to a different doctor for another opinion!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

you are a twig so thats why your doctor is telling you to eat 4000 calories so you can gain weight and acsually be healthy !. well i once saw a movie about anorexic kids and they were at a clinic called rhodes farm and they feed them about the same as your doctor is telling you to eat but like seriously if you usually at 10 times less than that then you would be eating 400 calories a day which is totally low

but you know you can eat 4000 calories all healthy food so that would be goodWww@Answer-Health@Com

Given that he/she is ur dr and u are trying to put on weight, this is probably right!. 2000 calories a day will be what you should eat once you have gained and maintained a healthy weight!. 4000 cals a day is just TEMPORARY until you get a little bigger and stronger :)
good luck!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

74lbs is less than what starving african kids weigh, you need 4000kcal, the reason your doctor wants you eating so much more is because you are practically dieing!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

the websites you've been reading takes into consideration people with normal healhty weight, with your weight 4000 is a must to get the scale moving!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

The doctor is trying to save your life!. He WANTS you to gain weight!. For you, 4000 calories is healthy!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Hey youre 74 lbs you could do with a little weight gain!. I am sure it wont be for a long time!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

You are very underweight, so please eat what your doctor tells you to!!Www@Answer-Health@Com
