Over-eating? portion sizes? how do i stop?!?!


Question: Over-eating!? portion sizes!? how do i stop!?!!?
my mother and i have decided that we are going to(or at least try)and get fit and healthy this summer, considering we are both overweight!. i am 12, about 5'6, and 140-145 pounds!. i just started to walk 3 miles every morning with my mom!. my problem, though, is what im trying to work on - portion size and overeating!. today i really tried to pay attention to serving sizes, find good healthy foods, etc!. but i think i just end up getting bored and i eat instead!. i was doing pretty well up until about maybe 4:30 where i didnt care anymore and had huge portions!. i really need help!. what are some ways to control my cravings for bigger portions!? oh! and also--is it better to walk, lets say, 3 miles, rather than run 1!? what do you think my outcome will be if i stick to walking miles every day!? (i am beginning to run at least a mile every day, maybe more when i work up to it!.)i also drink tons of water!. any ideas!? all help is appriciated!. i hate my over-eating habits!Www@Answer-Health@Com


Answers:
There are a number of things that I tell my patients to do with portion control!.

1!. Use a smaller plate!. You won't be able to fit as much food on it and you literally are tricking your mind to think that you are getting more food than you really are!.

2!. Put your fork down while you are chewing!. This make you slow down your eating!. It takes 20 minutes for your stomach to tell your brain that it is full!. If you slow down your eating, you will get that signal faster and not overeat!.

3!. Chew each bite 20 times!. Same reason being as number 2!.

4!. Drink a glass of water right before the meal!. This will partially fill your stomach and water doesn't have any calories!.

5!. DO NOT GET SECONDS!!!

6!. It is ok to leave food on your plate!. If you are full, package up your leftovers for later!.

7!. Eat more often!. Have a small snack in between meals so that there is always something on your stomach!. This will keep your hunger down and help keep your metabolism up since you'll always be digesting something!.

If u hate been overweight, u have to try to control yourself!. No one can do anything if you dont control yourself!. Try not to eat junk but healthy food and try not to over eat or eat too much!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
