Is it true that you can lose inches but gain weight from the gym?!

Question: Is it true that you can lose inches but gain weight from the gym!?
I've only been going to the gym for just over 3 weeks (5 times a week) but have already noticed that my waist looks smaller and firmer!. However I was surprised when I weighed myself to find out that I've put on 6lbs!. I hadn't noticed and a couple of people thought I'd lost weight recently!. Can this really be increased muscle weight so soon!?
I am naturally quite thin and was 125lbs 3 weeks ago and 131 yesterday - I'm 5'8"!.
Or!.!.!.!.could it be because I had my period!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Muscle weighs more than fat!. If you want to lose weight you have to eat less while excersising!. but toning up is just as good for you!. Don't worry too much about yor weight if you are toning up because you can risk getting disheartened when you are losing bulk but not weight!. What do you want slimmer or less heavy!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

When you tone up you develop muscle which is heavier than fat!. So yes you can lose inches but gain weight!. It is why the BMI index is a bad measurement as it says musclular people are fat!. I thing most rugby players are classed as obese by that scale!. I certainly wouldn't tell them that!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Perhaps you put on a little muscle!. Perhaps your body is holding a little bit more water!. Keep in mind that your body weight fluctuates as much as 5 lbs throughout the day!.

I'd say you probably lost a little fat and gained a little muscle!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
