Can you lose 90 pounds in 3 months?!

Question: Can you lose 90 pounds in 3 months!?
Answers:
If you just believe!Www@Answer-Health@Com

It might be possible, but it is definitely not healthy!. An appropriate and healthy rate of weight loss is no more than 1-2 pounds per week!.

To lose weight at a rate of 1 pound per day, you would have to burn off 3500 calories more than you take in each and every day!. For a 220 pound woman, that is the equivalent of running 6 mph for 3 1/2 hours, swimming laps at 50 yrds/min for 4 1/2 hours, or walking 4 mph for almost 9 hours!. This level of activity could result in injury for even trained athletes, let alone someone who is overweight and out of shape to begin with!.

There is simply no healthy way to do this!. Your only option for this type of drastic weight loss in such a short period of time would be gastric bypass surgery, which comes with it's own set of problems!. Not to mention it would take at least that long before you could even be cleared for the surgery!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Here is a situation that a friend of mine experienced!. He went on a program that consisted of six small meals a day!. Breakfast and the snack after consisted of a protein and fruit!. Lunch and the snack after consisted of protein, vegetables and good carbs like yams, brown rice!. For dinner it was the same as lunch!. The last snack was optional!. Also no salt or sugar!. He dropped 86 pounds in 3 1/2 months!. He was working out six days a week and was extremely disciplined!. Here is the downfall of weight loss, the extreme change was temporary because the body did not adjust to such a drastic weight loss in such a short period of time!. Your body needs time to adjust to your new target weight and if you go off the program that you were on it all basically comes back!. You can lose that weight but it is dangerous to your heart and overall health!. Slow and steady weight loss of 1-2 pounds a week is a good target range!. When it comes to weight loss fast is not always a good thing!. I hope this answerd your question!.My friend gained back 67lbs!. and is back on track with a more conservative goal of losing weight!. The longer it takes to come off the better chance of keeping it off!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

With a low carb diet and a lot of exercise you probably could depending on your body!. It gets harder to lose the closer you get to being in shape as it requires more calories to move a larger body!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
