I started at 12stone 4lbs (172lbs) - this was caused by a medical condition!. After a long fight of diet and exercise I got down to 9st 2lbs (128lbs) - a 44lb total loss and reduced my body fat from 38% to 16%!.

I'm not sure if you consider this a large amount of weight or not, but I weighed between 165-170 and now I weight between 135-140!. I'm not done yet though! (hopefully not!) I've been stuck for awhile, but hopefully I'll get going again soon to get down to 125!.

I'm 5'2 and 18 years old!. Basically, I started when I was 17 about a year ago!. I watched what I ate and reduced my calories and then did cardio (usually swimming, jogging, walking) every other day and pilates on my off days!. Eventually I increased my cardio to everyday!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I lost 28lbs in about 4 months!. Given I'm 5'2" it was a fair amount!. I started at 64kg which I think is 140lb and ended up 112lbs, 51kg!. I'm 34 years old!.

Basically I had to change my life!. I started exercising every day!. I have kids at home and my husband was overseas so no joke I used to run down my neighbour's driveway and up mine (which is really steep!)!. I'd put my ipod on and walk or run it pretty much every day when the kids had gone to bed (I was within a few metres of the front door, could see it at all times and had a monitor on)!. I'd do push ups and crunches in front of the TV at night and some light weights!. When my husband came home I'd lost a lot of weight but with more opportunities to exercise I started going out for jogs and long walks, I'd swim and I started seeing a personal trainer once a week!. Sometimes I'd just dance with my ipod on!

Food-wise I stopped drinking anything except water!. I ate more fresh stuff and didn't eat between meals except if it was a piece of fruit or veggie!. I usually binge at night so I'd distract myself or go to bed early!. I tried to stick to about 1800 calories per day!.

Make the changes gradually so it isn't too hard on you to adjust!. It's a little tough for the first few weeks, but it gets easier and becomes habit!. I run in fun runs now and can wear nicer clothes!. I can run around with my kids and I can go upstairs without running out of breath!. Treat yourself now and then to a little something - one chocolate biscuit, a scoop of icecream!. Don't starve yourself or completely deny yourself but do try to stay away from junk as much as possible!.

You need to be ready and committed!. Other stuff might have to take a lower priority!. But it's worth it!!!Www@Answer-Health@Com

I lost 2 stone in 14 days on the Cambridge diet but the only down side to it is that i didn't work out at all ,so i now need to really work at my tummy to get it in shape, its nearly as bad as being fat just hanging!. So be careful anyone thinking of trying it!. I am 25 5"2 start weight 13st 13lb weight now 11st 12lb and still loosing!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
