Becoming a Vegan?!

Question: Becoming a Vegan!?
What are the health benefits to becoming Vegan!? What kinds of things can you eat and not eat!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
being a vegan is definitely not unhealthy, these people are really misinformed!. you can get calcium/protein/any other nutrient from a vegan or vegetarian diet; it may just be more challenging and you'll need to get creative (but the result is usually a more healthy, less fattening source)!. plenty of vegan foods provide protein: tofu, beans, lentils, nuts, etc!. and you can always get soymilk that is fortified with calcium!.

there aren't really any specific health benefits to being vegan as opposed to following a healthy lifestyle that isn't necessarily vegan, but i'd say it definitely helps you to make healthy food choices: most things that are vegan are also healthy, easily digested whole foods!. you can eat whole grains, fruits, vegetables, soy products (like soy milk, soy cheese, soy yogurt, tofu!.!.!. there are awesome substitutes for just about anything, not to mention companies manufacture products like soy ice cream, veggie burgers, etc to fulfill cravings)!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

don't become a vegan!. if you ever watch PETA advertisements they're not telling all the truth!. when you become a vegan you lose some of the protein and calcium you need!. You NEED to eat meat!. you don't have to, but you need to!. most vegans are taking tons of vitamins and supplements because they aren't getting the vitamins and nurtrients they need from not eating meat!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

vegetarian: no meat and poultry but others are fine (fish, eggs, milk, animal products other than meat)

vegan: no animal products whatsoever (no milk, no eggs, no fish)

health benefits: tons of fibre to help you clean your digestive system, no gas problem, weight loss if you do it correctly (not overloading on high calorie veggies), feeling healthy like after undergoing detox program

wrong ideas of vegan: no calcium, no protein, no iron
these compounds exists in veggies!. protein: beans!. iron and calcium: green leafy veggies

vegan might need to supplement their mineral needs with multivitamin/mineral supplement pills but not in huge number!. heavy soda and alcohol drinkers (meat and non-meat eaters alike) should consider increasing their mineral intake

be a vegetarian first before trying to be a vegan!. if you're a meat eater start with vegetarian days in a week and then full time vegetarian with vegan days and finally full time veganWww@Answer-Health@Com

BE a vegetarian first for AT LEAST 2 years!. if you can handle it or already did, then I think that you are set to become a vegan! DO NOT EAT ANYTHING THAT COMES FROM ANIMALS like eggs or gelatin milk and stuff!. If you can not handle it, go back to a vegetarian!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
