I want to lose 20-30 pounds by september?

My weight is 148 lbs. I eat about 1000 calories or less a day. I jog in place 30 min. a day + other types of other exercises. I eat mainly vegtables and fruits, but sometimes veir off that track. I only drink water or white tea. I drink atleast 8 glasses of wateer a day. If I want to lose 20-30 lbs by september, what else do I have to do.

You don't say how tall you are so it is hard to tell what kind of shape you are in. However, eating 1000 calories might not be so good for your body. It might be too little and your body will go into survival mode and conserve fat. The main thing you have to remember is simply burn more than you eat. Do this by exercising. Also you have to vary your workout. Once your body gets used to jogging in place for 30 min a day, then you will not burn as much fat by doing the same routine. What you're eating is not bad, but remember that certain fruits have a lot of calories. Fruits contain a lot of natural sugar and thus a lot of calories. Vary your diet too, with some proteins and lots of veggies are great along with the water you are drinking. Last point is don't be too concerned with your weight you read on the scale. If you exercise you might be gaining muscle which wieghs more than fat so you might actually see and increase in your weight. Get your body fat measured at a sports gym or by a doctor, and measure your waist and other parts of your body. Also take a picture of yourself in a pair of shorts so you can see your body and results. Also keep a weekly chart of your body fat and weight, this will help motivate you. Remember you won't lose this wieght overnight, but if you exercise for at least 30 minutes 5 to 6 days a week and keep to your diet you will be in much better shape in September than you are now.
