Question: I'd give up 5 inches in the chest to lose 5 in the waist -- how!?
I'm from New York and have a build like a NYC cop!. In fact, whenever I go somewhere seedy, people straighten up because they think I'm a cop!.

I've been working out hard for 1!.5 years and the past few months have really reduced calories to where I'm almost always under 2000 and sometimes around 1200!. I run 2 miles a day now, lift weights and often mix in a workout on a cardio machine at a relatively high level, but I can't seem to lose significant weight!. (I was 190 in college and played on the lacrosse team -- so do have a large frame!.)

I'm 5-8, 205, with a 50-inch chest and 39 waist!. I'd gladly give up 5 inches in the chest for 5 in the waist, but my body won't comply!. Being 38 probably doesn't help!.

Any tips to get weight and size down when nothing really seems to work!? I think all my years of sports permanently screwed up my metabolism!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

It is imposable to just move inches of your body around if it was everyone in the world would look like Ken and Barbie!

Also consider that under all muscle/fat there is a skeleton!.

There are plenty of guys that would kill to have your kind of triangle shape!

If you have been working out for 1!.5 yrs your probably all muscle cuz you weight is of the high end for your height, but muscle is heavier than fat and that would explain the weight you are!.
Their really is not anything you can do to make your waist larger, but when you work you chest high reps low weight is toning(15-20 is total toning with basically no muscle growth in size), and then you will not have to worry about betting bigger pecs, and if you do not do any strength/bodybuilding exercise you muscle will remain stone but smaller!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
