How can I start building strength with no physical ability whatsoever?!

Question: How can I start building strength with no physical ability whatsoever!?
I have no physical ability whatsoever!. I have no gym equipment and do not have the funds to buy any (or just about anything else for that matter)!. I can not do a single sit-up and I can't do more than about 5 pushups at a time!. I am a guy and have very little excess fat!. As for running, I can sprint but not too far, I can walk without problems for a time longer than I have ever walked (a few hours)!. My diet is average (I don't eat too much junk)!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Tee hee!. I like the way you phrased that!. : D

Add some extra protein into your diet to start with!. You'll need it to build on some muscle!. You'll probably want to up your calories a bit, too, if you're going to be doing the exercises!.

You don't need money to do at least some stuff!. Rather than sprinting, you should start doing leisurely jogs for 30 minutes or so every day!. This will build up your stamina, and somewhat your leg strength!. Find some small relatively heavy for their size and easy to grip objects around!. Even a full water bottle is better than nothing, though if you can manage to borrow some hand weights, it would speed things up!. Start doing curls and bench presses with whatever objects are heavy enough that you can feel them working the muscle by the 50th rep, if not much sooner!. See how many reps you can do at a stretch, and set yourself to do a few less than that every other day!. Up it by 5 or so every week or so!. My friend used to bench press his printer, as an idea of how creative you can be!. Try doing pushups against the wall, at a slant!. Figure out what angle you have to be at to be able to do at least 25 in a row!. Do every other day, and gradually lower your position, it will eventually be harder to do than on the floor, and is great for working your way up if you're really starting low!. Do squats with your own weight, or holding whatever you think is a good weight of random junk!. If you can find 2 similarly sized and weighted ojects that are in the 2-10 lb range, you should shadow box with them!. If you VERY carefully do a slight, non-back bending twist with each punch, moving toward the opposite side, this will do a little bit of a workout for your midsection!. You can also very cheaply work out your core by thowing a couple of pillow or something on the floor to give you a raised area!. Lay down with your butt on whatever you put there, and with your legs straight out, slowly lift them straight up into the air until they're pointing up, then slowly lower them back to the floor, keep them straight the whole time!. Repeat this as many times as you can, etc!. Even if you can't do a full sit-up, do as much of one as you can, and do as many of THAT as you can!. It's probably better than nothing, and you can work your way up!. Even if you can only get your head a couple of inches off the ground, do that, and hold it there for as long as you can!. You can even try out the wimpy ones where you hold your shoulders instead of behind your head!.

Any of that stuff is free and will build up your strength, provided you keep up with it!. Most of it has to be done at least 3 times per week to be effective!.

Good luck!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

It seems like your expecting to just be able to do 20 pushups in a row in no time!. start doing as many crunches as you can un til you feel the burn!. then take a rest for 30 seconds and do MODIFIED YES MODIFIED push ups!. you will be able to do more of these with more repetitions but you will feel the burn after a while!. once these become to easy move up to regular push ups and just do as much a possible!.

don't think to yourself that this is too hard!. JUST DO IT!. and dont make excuses if you really want strength you have to work at it and it takes time!. just keep improving each day!. save up for a pull up bar (or if you have any bar you dont need one), some weights of like 10,15,20's and fnd soem exercises to do!. i use the p90x videos but their like 130 bucks so!.!.!.

Not to offend you, but you're making excuses :-)

If a guy who can naturally do 100 sit-ups wants to to improve, he'll have to push himself to 105, then 110, and so on!.

So start with what you have!. Do those 5 pushups, work to 6, and so on!. Same with sit-ups / crunches!. Do what you can, then work up to more!. There's no shortcuts!.

Also google around for bodyweight exercises (crunches and pushups for example)!. There's all sorts of things you can do to improve your whole body, not just chest and abs!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
