Question: Losing Weight Help!? Only people that truly care to help!?
The Low down!. Basically I was a high School Footballer/Basketball player/ Wrestler
(not all at once but I've done them)
and now that its all over!. (tried out for my college team didn't make it) I need help dropping the extra pounds I've acquired!.

Im 6'5 315!. And I want being the big dude from school to be a thing fro the past!.
So any tips,helpful hints, things to take, things not to to take, foods to eat not to eat etc!.
(dont be a smart-a#$ and say no Burger King) I know I dont eat fast food but maybe once a month nor do I drink soda!.
(I personally think soda is disgusting)

Alright, big guy, you know the drill now start doing lots of cardio in addition to that weight routine!. Try to drink a gallon of water before dinner (I mean throughout the day, not all at once!.) Increase your protein intake and cut out sugar in all forms except when it comes with a healthy dose of fiber!. So no juice, white bread (I would eliminate bread completely,) potatoes, white rice, beer (all alcohol really)!.!.!.
These are all tips directly from the South Beach Diet!. While I couldn't follow it completely because after a week of absolutely no sugar I couldn't lift my arms, what it teaches you about how food works in your body is 100% accurate!. It was written by a cardiologist and there are good recipes from popular chefs!. I would try to follow it, but be aware of your body's needs!. If you feel at all dizzy, drink a glass of OJ then modify it so you skip the first stage!.

Well, it really is as simple as eating right and exercising!. Simple doesn't necessarily mean easy though!. The best thing to do is get a structured plan to follow!. First of all, you are a BIG dude!

I take it your goal is to shed off about 50-75 lbs!.!?

I don't know what your eating schedule is like, but from what I have noticed in some of my larger friends is their eating habits tend to be more on the "go without food" and then "eat a lot for dinner" type of eating schedule!.

I think that metabolism plays a huge part in losing weight!. Try to transition your eating habits to include 5-7 small meals a day instead of having one or two larger ones!.

It won't happen overnight, but once your body starts to accept metabolizing food on a more regular basis, you can start to tailor your quality to eat more of the ones that help burn off more fat!.

I speak only because this helped my wife, and I have seen a change (kind of small) with a couple of friends!.
