Teenage Weightloss: Why is it that the most insecure age group doesn't have !

Question: Teenage Weightloss: Why is it that the most insecure age group doesn't have a plan!?
Yeah I know!. If i want to lose weight i need to lay off the fritos, get my butt off the computer, and go outside!. Please don't get sarcastic with me- I'm being very serious!. I've calculated my calorie needs, have tried to adjust my eating habits accordingly, run daily, and work out when i can!. I'm just not getting the results! It seems that all weight loss plans or stradegies are designed for adults, and cost a ton of money!. Does anyone know of a plan suitable for teens, and doesn't cost hundreds of dollars!?
If teenage girls had a way to lose weight successfully, I dont think they'd make themselves puke or starve so much : /

Please and thankyou!

Im 15!.!.!.!.so i hope I can help

knowing your calories helps!.!.!.but remember, if you dont get under what your daily calorie need are you wont lose weight, if you get exactly what you calorie needs/day are you will stay about the same!.

A really helpful exercise is swimming, it burns alot of energy and if you do it right it can help you build muscle as well!.

Dont starve yourself because usually the stress that comes with it will actually have a negative affect on your health and could make u gain weight!.

What I do is i play soccer everyday for about an hour, and then i lift weights every other day, and the other days i use to either swim or go roller skiing(cross country skiing except w/ wheels on the road)

-let me know if ive helped you at all =)Www@Answer-Health@Com

There are a couple reasons you don't see a lot of programs targeted to teens!.
1) Teens don't have much money so it is not a profitable market!.
2) Most teens don't listen when given information, so the plans are not effective!.
3) Overweight teens can use programs targeted at adults with the same amount of success

Low cost program options are provied in source!. $25-50Www@Answer-Health@Com

why dont you go to kidshealth!.org and then click on teenagers when you get there!. it gives lots of informationWww@Answer-Health@Com

I know what you mean!. I just got done being a teen (now 20) but even back in high school I felt like all the diet attention was on adults

I began doing things that were fun and, I admit, somewhat nerdy!. I played DDR for hours at a time!. it was fun and at the same time was great cardio! I ended up losing 50lbs and got really good at it

I have matured slightly but my goal is still the same!. You dont need a new diet fad, great pill or any of those things you see on tv!. You just need to eat smart and set goals for yourself!. I have lost so much weight and best of all, I have fun doing it and people have no idea I'm even on a "diet"!. I dont like to use the word diet, more like change of eating habits

I hit the gym almost every day, and go for a run a few days a week!. When I eat, I pick smart things that are easy to find!. Food with whole grains, peanut butter, fish, green veggies, eggs, fruit, water, nuts, and other natural things

They key is to keep an eye on things but have fun as well!. If I can do a decent job during the week I'll go out on the weekend and have fun and not worry about it, even have a cheat meal thats ridiculous (4-5 slices of pizza lol)!. If you watch everything so close you'll go insane!. Just make a few adjustments for the better and keep doing what you're doingWww@Answer-Health@Com

I think the reason there aren't plan for teens is because at that age, you're still growing!. Depriving yourself of vital nutrients can be unhealthy and really mess you up further down the road!. It would help if we know how old, tall, and what weight you are!. If you're 16, 5' 0", and 100 pounds, you don't need to loose weight!. If you're 16, 5' 0", and 150 pounds, then you should talk to your parents and tell them that you want to work on your weight!. Afterall, they're the ones that usually buy the food, right!? Maybe your whole family could become healthier eaters!Www@Answer-Health@Com
