Going from Atkins to vegetarian?!


Question: Going from Atkins to vegetarian!?
i have been on the Atkins diet now for 2 months and the results are pretty amazing, however there is no way I'm gonna keep it up, the food is bland as hell and i miss fruit too much!. i am thinking of swapping to a vegetarian diet on the basis that I've never seen a fat vegetarian! and i don't think i will miss meat!.
do you think this will this work!?

I would think it would be a healthier option than the Atkins diet!. I eat mostly veggies, without all the fatty add ons like gobbs of cheese, sour cream, butter, etc!. (maybe just a little) and found it was better for my weight stability than this Atkins diet that I"ve been on for 2 weeks!. I've GAINED one pound, but maybe that's because the switch from one to the other was a weird chemical direction, but I really don't know that!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Yes, you can be a fat vegetarian!. The reason you've probably not met one is that vegetarians tend to be people who care about their healthy and diet, so they take care of themselves!. At the end of day, you have to eat a low calorie diet if you don't want to be fat (you have to eat no more than what you burn)!. Anyway, here is a great resource for low calorie food as you venture into vegetarianism!.

There is a lot of controversy about Atkins and whether its good for you in the long term!. The same applies to vegetarianism!. Personally I think "everything in moderation" is a pretty good philosophy!. Your body tends to indicate through "longings" whatever it needs!. If you train yourself to only eat at mealtimes and to only eat what you need you will find that your weight remains stable!. Good luck!Www@Answer-Health@Com

Going Veggie is a VERY healthy option but you also need to ensure you chose the low fat options as some cheeses are high in fat others low!.

eating lots of fresh veg is good for you whereas the atkins is bad for you (health grounds) so its a positive move!.

I am veggie and weight naturally goes to a correct weight! but plan your menu's properly and get a veggie cook book!Www@Answer-Health@Com

Instead of going veggie following the Slimming World plan!. You'll be able to eat as much fruit, veg & meat is you like!.
