You should do both!. Aerobic exercise combined with weight training is the best method for burning excess calories and improving your fitness level!. The aerobic session should last 45-60 minutes at a moderate pace!. You will be thoroughly warmed up and ready to lift weights!. Your goal is to lose body fat, so I would focus on 3-4 sets of 10-15 reps using medium to light weights!. Work all major muscle groups regularly, don't focus on small muscles!. You need to be exercising at least 3 times per week!. You can split your weight training routine up into segments!. You should know that increased muscle developement tones and defines your muscles and helps to burn more calories!. That means it makes you look better and feel better!. You need to change your diet as well!. You should be eating 4-6 small, healthy, balanced meals per day!. That will increase your metabolism and even out your energy level, giving you the energy for those combined workouts!. Good luck!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

It is not exactly paramount, but it does indeed help!. The muscle mass will speed metabolism as well as burn calories from the lifting itself!. Running for countless hours will not help anything!. You will just be eating away at your muscle rather than fat!. I suggest shorter high intensity sprints/jogs!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

You should definitely do some weight lifting because muscle burns fat!. The more muscle you have, the more fat you will burn!. I am not a personal trainer, but I have an education in human anatomy and physiology!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

weight lifting won't get you your weight loss goals, cardio, aerobics, stretches, and weightless exercises will!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

The extra muscle should help you burn fat and calories easier, and will also help tone you where the fat was!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
