It depends on how hard you work out and the diet/eating style you live by!.
If you eat junk food and only stay on the stairstepper for like five minutes, than no you're not going to lose any weight!.
You should eat about 2000 calories a day, and exercise at the gym for about an hour!. I wouldn't suggest going everyday, but five day out of the week at most!. Try doing things like the stairstepper, weights, bicycles, tredmill!.!.!.etc!. Change it so you don't get bored!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Tsukiko has some good ideas, but I would emphasize diet and running!. I lost a TON of weight by just forcing myself on to the treadmill or the eluptical, and I see a lot of heavier type people at the weights!. Also, work out in the mornings so that you're tired and burn more calories throughout the day!. A celebrity friend of mine who hired a personal trainer told me to work out legs and stuff (i!.e!. go running) first and then work out your arms and torso!.
