Exercising question...?!

Question:

Exercising question...?

Should I exercise to build muscle every day or should I do it every other day. I've been told by someone that giving your muscles a day to rest between exercising helps them to grow fast and bigger. Is that true?

Answers:

First you need to make sure that you are doing the right kind of exercises to build muscle. I sometimes lift several days in a row, but I work different body parts when I am at the gym. Example...Monday back and biceps, Tuesday chest and triceps, Wednesday legs, Thursday shoulders. I do cardio via Jiu Jitsu and Muay Thai, but you can run on these days too before or after you hit the weights and mix abbs in every other day if you like. Your muscles need rest to recover after you work them out so they can grow. There are so many different ways to work out is is mind blowing. Some people work out their upper body one day..take a break.. and do the lower half the next time they are in the gym. I like to give my muscles that I am specifically working out at least 2 days rest between tearing them down again when I am trying to build muscle to them. Also, make sure that you are getting enough protein in your body and enough carbs to recover right after a good workout. I suggest reading up on nutrition for working out. There is really a science to the whole thing and after time you will find what works best for your body.
