I think vitamin water's taste is okay, but I think it should only be used if you are planning on exercising for a long amount of time!. I also think Propel Lemon flavored is good, but I think regular water is probably the best if you are just doing 15-25 minutes of exercising!. With the other exercise drinks it best to only use them when you are exercising for at least longer than 30 minutes!.

In my opinion, the "pros" of fitness and vitamin waters are purely cosmetic -- drinking them makes you look cool!.

The reality is that fitness waters have become a huge business and is the fastest growing market of the beverage industry!. In fact, all of the big soft drink companies (Coke, Pepsi, etc) have jumped in and have their own brands of fitness drinks!.

Now the cons:

First, in most cases you really don't need them!. Most of us don't exercise to the point of dehydration so drinking plain water is more than sufficient!. The only drink I occasionally use is a little Gatoraide - a drink that was designed to replace the salts and electrolytes that your body loses through sweating!. However, I only use this if I'm exercising really hard outside on a hot and humid day (which in Houston, is most of the time <grin>)!.

Second, most fitness waters and "energy" drinks are loaded with calories so read the label carefully!. Also, some will tell you that there's "only" 5 calories per serving but most bottles have 2 or more servings so the calories starting adding up fast!.

Taste is a personal thing and there are a huge variety of flavors out there!.

In all cases, you should look at fitness, vitamin, and energy drinks the same way you see soft drinks and other beverages!. If you like them, drink them, but don't fall into the mistaken belief that they're going to make you healthy, fit, or that they're going to help you lose weight!.

I think the vitamin water isn't flavored by sugar, plus it has vitamins and complex carbohydrates (i think)!. It is better than water, it replenishes the sodium in your system too!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Filtered tap water from home in a Nalgene bottle, and a multivitamin gives you the same benefits at a fraction of the price!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

ok if i was u i would try Taut, its very good, works well and i drink it when doing exercise or sport!. it really does work and is actually good for u as well as tasting lovely:) try it, most rowing teams drink it!!Www@Answer-Health@Com
