How to make healthy foods tasty?!

Question: How to make healthy foods tasty!?
Hello to anybody reading this question!. I'm a fifteen year old female who is trying to lose say!.!.!.!.10 - 15 lbs before band camp!. But that's probably not as realistic seeing as it's in like July so I'll just say by school!.

Now I know one of the parts to lose weight is to eat healthy!. Which I'm totally willing to do!. Lately I've been putting smaller portions onto my plate and eating with my stomach rather than my eye's!. I eat only until I'm not hungry anymore!. But I want to be able to eat healthy but I don't want it to taste!.!.!.gross!.

Now keep in mind I'm fifteen and three out of seven days of the week my mom is working and my dad works five days out of the week!. Also, I am not the best cook and would need pretty easy instructions!. So can anybody give me recipes on how to make a fun, healthy, tasty meal!?

For the record I actually love fruits and I love vegetables!. But it gets boring just eating like five or ten carrots!. So that's why I'm asking!. Any help is much appreciated!. :)Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
try making a stir fry, i love it and its sooo healthy for you,
just chop up some veggies (try carrots, peppers, carrots, onions, snow peas and bean sprouts) fry up some chicken or beef then add the veggies in!. cook some minute rice (Takes 5mins, super easy, boil the water, throw the rice in and forget about it)
mix it all together and its yummy and super healthy!.

Try making a salad, but again put some chicken in and some extra peppers, cucumbers, and a light vinegar/oil dressing (can mix your one, equal parts vinegar and oil)

healthy spaghetti and meatballls, homemade meatballs, take about a pound of ground beef (raw) throw it in a bowl with 1 egg, cut up whatever veggies you want, add it to the bowl, mix it up and make into small balls, throw on a baking sheet and put in the oven, then just make some whole wheat pasta ad\nd top with a can of tomatoes instead of tomatoe sauce (add some garlic and pepper)Www@Answer-Health@Com

lol I won't give you reciepes but I'll give you two ideas!.

Using those other shakers next to the salt and pepper works very well, experimenting with different combinations for different tastes will keep you from getting bored!.

and phsychological control, before you take a bite, and when you take a bike, think to yourself "THIS IS THE BEST 'blank" I'VE EVER HAD!" and it will actually taste better lol!. I did that and within a week I liked the taste of collard greens!.!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

sparkpeople!.com has free recipes and how many calories they are!.!.!.there are soooo many ways to cook things to give them flavor, last night I steamed my broccoli with ginger, gave it a little kick and a new flavor!. I've learned which spices I like on chicken, turkey and fish, it's always fun though to try and find new ways to spice up my veggies!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Cook your vegatables and add flavour by using spices and herbs and peppers!. Yum :)Www@Answer-Health@Com

if you are a veggies lover, like me, then think about how to put together your own salads with all kinds of different combinations of veggies and yes, fruits! In one wonderful bowl you can add whatever strikes your taste that day, such as leafy greens, protein like chicken or black beans, roasted nuts, grapes, apples, or throw in leftover stirfried veggies, salsa etc etc!. It's endless, and completely up to you! Best of all, super healthy and have as much as you like, with olive oil and either apple cider vinegar or lemon/lime juice!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Steamed veg's a good and if you add a bit of Mrs!.Dash seasoning they'll be even better!.
You may need to try different fruits like Mango, papaya and kind of melons!. At the grocery stores they sell a fruit (chili) powder and it's very good with fresh lime juice (on the fruit)!. That would make a great snack!

As for meals eat what you normally do as long as it's not fried or with fat on it, like skin on a chicken!.
Just buy some seasonings that are low in sodium and calories!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Next time you try some veggies, why not mix it up a little!? Try some peanut butter on celery!. Peanut butter is full of good fats and can actually help you lose weight!. And it tastes real good too

Take a trip to the supermarket and try some different spices!. If you like fish, but get bored from eating it plain, throw some paprika and oregano on it!. You get an explosion of taste without any added calories!.

Try different combinations of fruit as well!. If you normally eat rasberries one day and blueberries another, try mixing the two!. It will taste like you're eating something totally new

Theres a lot more to chose from thats healthy such as green veggies, whole grain foods, eggs, nuts, and lean meat

Oh, and I was in band camp too!. Former trumpet section lt, represent!Www@Answer-Health@Com
