is subway good to eat on a diet? i have heard that the bread should be avoided at all costs(like all other breads)??? but wouldn't a person need those carbs while on a diet? and would a wrap be healthier then reg bread?(for ex...subway club))


Answers:

As far as calories are concerned, yes Subway is probably one of the best choices as far as fast food goes. As long as you get lean meats like chicken or turkey breast, add lots of healthy veggies, and don't add on the cheese.

If you'd like a condiment, choose mustard or vinegar. Less than 5 calories, with a big bang of flavor. If you ask for vinegar, make sure that it's not the vinegar/oil mixture. They've done that to me before when I've asked for vinegar.

As far as the bread goes, choose the wheat bread because it has more fiber than the white bread for the exact same amount of calories. The wrap only has like 10 less calories than the wheat bread, but a lot less fiber so I'd stick with the wheat bread.

Yes, you DO need those carbs on a diet...and always! Just choose the right carbs like wheat bread (or whole wheat bread if possible) and you'll be fine.
