Water weight is not caused by drinking lots of water!. Typically, it's due to sodium in the diet, or hormones!.

Try starting off by reducing the sodium in your diet!. Even a little extra can cause a lot of water retention!. Then, keep track of your hormonal cycle--water retention is a common PMS symptom!.

Drinking 8 glasses of water is great!. Depending on where you live and your level of activity, it may be a little more than your body needs, BUT, if it's more than your body needs, you'll just urinate it out!. You'd have to drink an excessive amount of water to throw your body's systems/balances off!.

Exercise can make you gain weight in a couple of ways!. First off, you have the building of muscle!. Muscle weighs more than fat, so as you lose fat you may still see your weight go up as your muscle mass is increased!.
