Question: Is my daughter overweight!?
she is 5ft!. 4in!. and is 157 pounds and is 13 years old!

Maybe by a bit!. I mean I don't know her muscle mass or anything of that nature but don't make it known to her that she is!. There is NO exact lbs she is overweight!. If you feel she is unhealthy, that's the most important!.

Don't put her on a diet, just together start only putting things in your body that are good for you!. Cut out things she won't even notice and maybe make a pact together to start eating more fruits!. Stuff like that!.

It's so important with her being so young that you instill good tools for her to use to be healthy and to not even give her a chance to think of the bad tools, like starvation!. Never ever make it about losing weight, just make it about making sure your heart will live as long as it can!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

She is overweight, but she needs some of that fat for when she reaches puberty!. She'll grow into some of that, and some of that will move up and become breasts!.

Make sure she's getting enough veggies, fruit, and water!. Also be sure that she isn't around sitting all day!. Encourage activity without making her feel ugly or guilty!. Go for evening walks after dinner, or swim in the morning!. Even just an extended visit to the mall is good exercise!.

Everybody is going to tell you yes because society thinks that being a size zero is healthy for everyone and everybody cant be a size zero!. I would say go to the doctor and find out and if he/she says that your daughter needs to loose weight then i would get her into some activities!. If he/she says that its okay then as long as it's not causing health problems and she is happy then thats the best thing ever! Plus your daughter body shape could be different and her muscle mass so just go to the Dr!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Yes!. As her mother, please help her to learn healthy eating and exercising!.
While I don't recommend showing her everyones' answers, you need to help her cut out junk food, such as candy, cakes, cookies, chips, etc!. Try incorporating fruits and veggies into her diet, and replacing soda and sugary juices with water!.
Are you able to sign her up for a team sport!? Soccer, softball, basketball, volleyball, etc!. Not only will this help her heart and keep her active, but it is wonderful for friendships and learning about teamwork!.
She is 13, which means she needs to get healthy ASAP!. She's going to be in full-blown puberty soon, and it's only going to be more difficult!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

most def!. by nearly 30 lbs!. and she's far too young!. she has to start being more active and stop eating bad!. (don't say she doesn't!. she has to be)!. this is what happens when our schools do stupid things like cut out recess, and physical education!. now it's our job as parents to ensure our children are getting enough activity physically!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

yea she is overweight!. what you should try to do is to introduce her to some heathier foods or get her interested in fun sports!. i got the Wii fit for the Wii and it actually has helped me lose ten pounds!. that and eating healthy has helped me to become healthy :)Www@Answer-Health@Com

A litlle over weight!. Cook healthy meals no fast foods!.
Have her do sports or simple activities:

if you guys have a dog have her walk the dog for about 20-30 min!. a day!.
if its too hot outside buy her a work-out dvd and and have her do that!.!.!.

Cut out the bad stuff, as in sodas, the sugary cereals, candies, fried foods etc, and get her moving! If you don't start on her now, then by the time she's 20, she's going to be obese, and who wants that for their kids!?Www@Answer-Health@Com
