I know it may be unhealthy but how long do i have to run in the morning with no breakfast to lose five pounds.

ive learned that if you run in the morning when you wake up without eating breakfast you will burn fat instead of carbs, thus losing weight faster, and it also keeps your metabalism fast for the day. So is it possible to lose even a pound a day or am i in over my head.

that is wrong info! you have to eat before working out (preferably 30 mins - 1 hour before) so that when you work out your body will burn that off and make your metabolism speed up. It is also important to eat something healthy (fruit?) after your workout also preferably 30min-1hr after your work out. Your metabolism will speed up and be faster throughout the day. Eating healthier periodically throughout the day will definitely help your metabolism keep running faster and you will burn more calories throughout the day as opposed to eating three main meals a day. There is no such thing as burning just fat and no carbs, it will burn what you eat. It is healthy to lose 2 pounds of week. Anything more than that is unhealthy. And a personal trainer told me in order to lose fat you must do cardio for a *minimum* of 30mins 4-5 times a week, plus you must do weight bearing exercise.
