Cure for shin splints?!

Cure for shin splints?

i have been playing soccer for quite some time and i have noticed just in the past soccer season that my lower legs hurt very badly, i have been told alot of ways to get rid of them but i am getting alot of opposites one person says rest another person says excersize what is a way that will help me be rid of them once and for all?


Answers:

I don't think there is a cure, but you can prevent them by doing stretches before a game or before you work out. Here's a good one. Put your feet together. Bend over and put your hands on your knees then lift your toes up in the air, one foot at a time. Leave your heels on the floor, just lift the toes and top part of your foot. This warms up the muscles in the front of your legs and you won't get shin splints. Do it again after you exercise.
