Workout schedule ideas?

Okay so I'm 13 years old, and I need to get conditioned for boxing. How many hours a week should I be working out?


Answers:

start slowly and listen to your body. skip rope, do some roadwork (running), push ups, burpees (my personal favorite), shadow box, crunches (do lots of different types and DONT do sit ups as they are bad for your back). if you don't have a heavy bag, just get some rags clothes and other soft materials and wrap them around a tree and hit that but be carefull not to hurt your fists. also cross train. so do things like swimming and biking and stuff. remember to take appropriate rest days.try working out two days straight for 1-2 hours then rest for one day. focus on the upper body for day one and the lower body for day 2. exercise your heart and core both days though (roadwork, crunches and burpees).

note: simply doing burpees, crunches and some type of cardio (roadwork,jogging,swimming) will get you in great shape and only requires about 1 hour total.
